A very Yorkshire Tree!

Good afternoon dear Reader

Today is a rather wet day here in Yorkshire, most of the day it has either threatened at any moment to give torrential downpours onto the very Yorkshire Tree...

This tree is like an old friend to me...he cheers me on a morning waving his large leaves and waves me off to bed at night in an often nightly breeze, some days I thank Heavens for him as he gives a gentle breeze on a hot summers day and sometimes he's quite large and noisy on a blustery Autumn Day, one thing I know is that every year since I have had the privilege to live near this giant Conker tree, he casts an enchanting shower of conkers in their green spiky nests! Splitting open as they smash onto the grass below, delighted children collect their shiny smooth treasures and are happy, even an older lady like me finds joy in finding the first falling of fruit! 

So Thank you blessed Conker Tree, you bring joy and delight every year! 

Today I am pleased you have the rain to refresh you and give your roots nourishment!
