Yorkshire Countryside and much Yorkshire rain ☔⚡☔
Good afternoon Reader!
Well this weather is getting rather tedious isn't it and I just got my soaking wet washing in after my hopes of a sudden hot day to dry my unfortunately forgotten leggings and t-shirts fell fowl of yet another torrential downpour!
I thought that after two days of my sorry sad wet washing almost dragging on the floor, my shame was beginning to gain rather quickly...i wonder if it's like the time when you were little and your mam told you things that your granny did and leaving out your washing overnight was a definite tut tut and an absolute domestic sin!
Funny how things you were told as a child come back to haunt you as an adult..sonetimes I say things that my parents said and I think it's funny but as I get older, I am glad of it as it's sweet memories from my parents and although they are simple sayings, they are precious, a step back in time, to when you were little and mum or dad said what seemed like funny parents old wives tales!
The sheep here in my photo taken today on a very wet day here in Yorkshire, well one wonders about their wooly coats getting wet but it never gets to their skin...lucky things...wet wool, warm skin...sheep are the loveliest white fluffy ultimate laundry hacks, designer woollen sweaters on legs that look like they could never support those large white woollen balls of Yorkshire cuteness!
I hope one day the rain does stop and we can finally welcome again the sunshine and warmth but until then, I'll keep drying my raincoat and reminding myself another parent saying....nice weather for the ducks!!
